What is a kosher campground?
A kosher campground is a place where you can enjoy the company of a like-minded kosher community and have access to all the kosher amenities you need while camping outdoors.
Is there a shul with a minyan?
Yes, we have a shul with a minyan and a Sefer Torah every Shabbos, during the week there are shuls with minyanim close by
Is it for couples, families or singles?
Camp Shabbat is open to everyone, regardless of age or stage in life. We invite all who wish to join and experience the great outdoors.
Is it kid-friendly?
Camp Shabbat is highly kid-friendly. We have hosted many families, and all the children have had the time of their lives.
Is there a lifeguard at the swimming pool?
Our swimming pool does not have a lifeguard on duty regularly. Children must always be supervised by an adult while swimming.
Is camping safe?
Camping is generally safe. In case of an emergency, know that we are in the Catskills, and our address is registered with Hatzalah for quick assistance.
What do we need to bring along?
Depending on your choice of accommodation, we can provide a list of items you might want to bring.
Are there bears?
Bear sightings are rare. However, as we are outdoors, we take precautions. Campers are requested to keep their sites clean, and we collect the garbage. In our camping history, we have never encountered any issues with bears
