A Memorable Group Overnight
A Place That Works for Group Stays We arrived at Camp Shabbat in the afternoon as a group of 20, and right away it felt like a change of pace. The open space, fresh air, and calm surroundings made it easy to settle in and enjoy being there. From the start, the staff was available for whatever was needed. They helped with setup, timing, and details throughout the stay, which made everything run smoothly and took pressure off the group. A Natural Flow to the Day Once everyone got settled, we started with volleyball in the open field. It was a simple way to get everyone involved and moving together. After that, the group headed to the pool. With music playing, it turned into a relaxed pool gathering where people could swim, sit back, or just enjoy being together. Dinner was a delicious BBQ-style meal, nicely prepared and served in a relaxed setting that made it easy for everyone to eat together and talk. Later, everyone gathered around the campfire. There was music, singing, and even dancing around the fire. Being outside under the stars brought a special energy to the night and naturally brought the group closer. Sleeping in the Woods Was a Highlight When it was time to sleep, the setup was simple and comfortable. Some stayed in tents surrounded by trees, while others chose different lodging options. Sleeping in the woods was surprisingly refreshing. It was quiet, peaceful, and felt like a real break from everyday life. People actually rested. A Meaningful Morning Before Heading Back The next morning started with davening outdoors. Being outside, with the sounds of nature around, made it feel calm and focused. It set the tone for the day. That was followed by a great breakfast and coffee together. There was no rush — just time to sit and talk. Some of the group also took part in horseback riding before heading back, which was a great way to end the stay.
